I was a young girl when Mum created the Original Nad’s Natural Hair Removal Gel over 26 years ago for my sensitive skin. Back then, I knew little about the key ingredients she used including honey, sugar and lemon and their skin benefits, although I did know the gel was gentle and safe on my delicate skin.
Today as the Beauty Expert and Brand Ambassador for Nad’s, I’m truly passionate about innovative beauty products of quality ingredients and helping people look good and feel great! I’m a big fan of one the key ingredients Mum used in her original formula – ‘sugar’ (and not just because I’m a bit of sweet tooth ?) but because of its amazing use when it comes to achieving beautiful, soft skin.
Why is sugar useful in your beauty routine?
If you’re into creating your own DIY concoctions, sweet sugar can be a very useful ingredient. It’s an unbelievable exfoliator and is used in many beauty products including a few of my faves: Frank Body Original Coffee Scrub and LUSH Bubblegum Lip Scrub to help get that glowing soft skin.
For smoother, softer legs use brown sugar to exfoliate your skin and remove dead skin cells. Slightly wet the sugar and apply in a circular motion to the area, then rinse and dry. It works a treat!

I love that our latest innovation Nad’s Natural Sugar Wax is as sweet as beauty products come. Made with 100% natural ingredients (including sugar of course) I can’t help but want to taste it during my waxing session! ? ?
Perfect for all skin types, the Nad’s Natural Sugar Wax can be used for total body hair removal, even face! The beauty about our sugar wax is that there is no heating required and it easily washes away in water in case of any mistakes for added DIY confidence. Also, our cotton strips are reusable, meaning you can rinse them off in warm soapy water after you’re done and let them air dry to use again for next time!
Using Sugar wax is amazing. Your article has been enlightening and fun to read and I am grateful so thank you for sharing.
